Joseph J. Kodner
Joseph Kodner, a partner at Zerman Mogerman LLC, graduated from the Washington University School of Law in 2003. Following graduation, Mr. Kodner practiced for two years in Kansas City in the field of defense litigation. Since joining Zerman Mogerman LLC in 2005, he has limited his practice to the field of matrimonial and family law. In addition to his trial and appellate level work, Mr. Kodner has dedicated a significant amount of his professional endeavors to the sub-field of prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.
Mr. Kodner has spoken and written on a variety of legal topics, both locally and statewide, including at the Missouri Bar Annual Meeting and the Missouri Bar Solo and Small Firm Conference. His topics have included the impact of trusts in family law cases, collection strategies, and case law / statutory updates.
In addition to his other publications, Mr. Kodner recently co-authored an informational book about divorce law for lay people, entitled A Guide to Divorce in Missouri: Simple Answers to Complex Questions (Addicus Books 2017). In eight out of the last nine years, Missouri and Kansas Super Lawyers, a publication of Law and Politics Magazine, recognized Mr. Kodner as a "Super Lawyers Rising Star."
Mr. Kodner is licensed to practice in both Missouri and Kansas, and is an avid guitar player and collector. Mr. Kodner is married to Holly Kodner and they are the parents of two daughters.
