| Our approach in every case is a simple one: we
try to do everything that can and should be done to insure our client is
in the strongest possible position to negotiate a settlement or present
a contested case to the court in a trial. This is never the result of good
luck or good intentions. Rather, such results are only made possible by
careful, diligent, and thorough attention to all facts and legal issues
raised in the case, attention to the client’s concerns and objectives,
and detailed knowledge of the court and the applicable law. The dissolution of one’s marriage represents as much the unwinding of an economic partnership as it does the severing of an emotional relationship originally founded upon love, trust, and confidence. Clients navigating through this painful process deserve the most patient, thorough, and competent representation possible under these circumstances. We have a written engagement agreement with every client. Our charges in most cases are hourly, at specified rates for specified individuals in our firm. We may, however, propose other fee arrangements for particular types of matters, depending upon particular circumstances. Statements are typically sent to our clients on a monthly basis. Our firm primarily represents clients in the City and County of St. Louis, Missouri, although we have also represented clients in St. Charles, Lincoln, Pike, Franklin, Jefferson, Warren, Phelps, Boone, and Platte counties in Missouri, and Madison County, Illinois, in appropriate cases in recent years. We maintain offices in Park Place, 100 S. Brentwood Boulevard, in the City of Clayton, Missouri. The building is directly across Brentwood Boulevard from the Shaw Park Pools, at the corner of Brentwood and Carondelet. Clayton is the government center for St. Louis County, and our location affords a one-block walk to the County Courts Building. Parking for our clients and other visitors is available on the parking deck adjoining our building; the entrance is on Carondelet Avenue.
